What are the negative effects of using substances?

ALCOHOL
- In 2015, Filipinos are known to be the second highest consumers of alcohol
- However, drinking too much alcohol can harm your health
- According to WHO, alcohol caused 3.3 million deaths globally in 2012
- Alcohol is a factor for intimate partner violence as much as 75% of the time
- Alcohol Harm Costs P200 Billion Yearly
- Out of every 100,000 Filipinos with alcohol addiction,
- 4,431 would die due to liver cirrhosis in 2020,

- High-risk substance use can lead to high risk of adverse outcomes like injury, criminal justice involvement, school dropout, loss of life.
